Hannah Esberger-Shepherd

Hannah is an International 2* dressage rider and trainer. She has competed internationally for Britian as a Pony, Junior, Young and Senior rider. She was a past talent spotted winner and young champion and holds 7 national titles.

She has lots of young, talented horses to ride, ranging from novice to Prix St Georges (PSG). Hannah’s ambition is to ride at the Olympics for Britain. Hannah is fortunate to have a great team behind her and is grateful to her sponsors, owners, and the team “at home” helping her to achieve her goals.

Gemma Stanford

Gemma and her mother, Melanie Stanford, have a small stud of Highland Ponies, based in Brough, East Yorkshire. They show at all the major County shows throughout the UK competing against many other British native breeds, for example Welsh ponies and Connemara ponies. They have had many successes to date including: NPS Baileys Olympia Mountain and Moorland Ridden Champion 2008 with their Highland Stallion "Torrin of Croila".

They have qualified twice, 2008 and 2009, for Horse of the Year Show Cuddy Supreme In-hand Final with Torrin of Croila's son, "Tower Clyde". In 2009 Clyde was 3rd in the final.

Over the years they have qualified Highland Ponies, Show Hunter Ponies and a Heavyweight Show Cob for HOYS, a total of 8 HOYS qualifiers. They have qualified for the Royal International Horse Show for three consecutive years. They have been Champion at The Great Yorkshire Show, Royal Windsor, Royal Norfolk, Royal Cornwall, South of England Show, Three Counties Show, Derbyshire County, Staffordshire County, Scottish Horse Show to name just a few!

They are currently feeding Omega Gold for Horses to some of their future superstars who will no doubt be making their debut into the showing shortly. We wish Gemma the best of luck for the forthcoming show season and look forward to hearing of their success.

White Rose Polo Club

White Rose Polo Club, Yorkshire’s largest polo school is based at Townend Farm, North Cliffe nr Market Weighton.

The Club was set up in 2007 to encourage the growth of polo in the region and get as many people to experience the sport who would never have previously considered it by offering affordability and challenging the perception of polo as elitist sport. In 2009, over 1,600 polo lessons were taught to more than 500 customers participating in group lessons, hen parties, university lessons, corporate team building days, polo tasters childrens’ lessons and many more.

The Polo School provides livery for over 40 polo ponies and is able to offer polo lesson 12 months of the year, 5 days a week with matches and tournaments every weekend throughout the summer, mostly free to attend by the general public.

Summit Polo Team

Summit Polo Team, which has been voted Yorkshires most successful polo team, is based at White Rose Polo Club. The team includes Hedley Aylott, owner of Summit Media and founder of the White Rose Polo Club, Tony Wesche, Polo manager and Polo professional and Nico Taberna, the club’s Argentinean professional and best Pato player in Argentina.

Team Summit has scooped up silver ware from around the country, the most esteemed cup being the Assam cup from Rutland Polo Club, which was first played for in 1898. Their success is not only based on the riders’ teamwork, skill and horsemanship but also agility and wellbeing of their horses.

Throughout their busy season, the Summit team horses have clearly benefited from having all been on Omega Gold to give them the correct balance of Omega 3 and 6 for their optimum performance, soundness and health. The Summit Polo Team can whole heartedly recommend the product and its benefits and will continue to feed their horses and all White Rose’s school ponies Omega Gold.
